Auraliya is situated in Talpe on the Galle to Matara road approximately 15 minutes south of Galle. The 127km post is a great landmark opposite the Auraliya entrance and it takes about three hours to drive the 127 kilometeres from Colombo along the coastal road. You can head straight down or break your journey at a boutique hotel for lunch, visit a turtle hatchery, or a blue moonstone mine en route.
Our family has a long association with Sri Lanka. This added to our comfort when deciding to build our family holiday home overlooking one of the prettiest beaches on the Southwest coast of the island. As we lead the nomadic existence of an expatriate family, we are keen for our children to have roots somewhere to which they will hopefully return throughout their lives.
Auraliya was conceived as a family retreat and we have taken great care to incorporate our own personal style from the lay out of the property with its open air cloistered walkways, to the indigenous artwork. The speaker system provides for i-pod piped music through the walkways and pavilions and the fiber optic stars in the pool add to the special ambiance of Auraliya.
While the villa provides an excellent environment within which to unwind, it is the exceptional team who ensure the memorable “Aura” of Auraliya. We visit as often as we can and feel very blessed to be able to enjoy our own piece of Paradise. We are happy to share the Auraliya experience and our guestbook is testament to the magical impact of balmy days spent at this special place.
